Jesus is looking at us today, trying to tell us that there may be one thing that we lack.
There are different heroes of faith in the Bible, who at one time or the other in their lives, had to contend with one thing or the other.
People in the bible who struggled with one thing
– The wealthy man
– Moses: anger
– David: lust
– Elijah: sadness or depression
– Peter: double-mindedness
– Paul: thorn in the flesh -2 Corinthians 12:7-9
It may not be sin, but it may be something that leads us to sin, it may be anger, it may be a tendency, a habit, a burden.
Luke 10:38-42
There should be something in your life that tethers you to Jesus; something that joins you to Jesus and draws you to the reality that you are dust and without Him you can’t make it.
Hebrews 12:1-4
One thing is needful for our lives, spending time with God, to receive grace to overcome, to be victorious.
